I began my career in the retail sector, initially taking on various roles that allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the industry. Over time, I advanced toward retail management, gaining valuable experience in customer service, operations, and team leadership. However, my passion for technology eventually took over, prompting a career shift into the tech industry.
I transitioned into a technical support role at Virgin Media, where I honed my skills in troubleshooting, customer support, and IT service management. This experience served as a strong foundation for my subsequent roles in different companies, where I specialized in application support and development. I worked on a wide range of projects, from improving existing software solutions to developing new applications, which helped me build a diverse skill set in both front-end and back-end development.
Most recently, I served as the Head of IT for a start-up focused on fibre installations for multi-dwelling units. In this role, I was responsible for implementing new technologies, and ensuring that our systems met the needs of a rapidly growing business. This position allowed me to apply my technical expertise while leading a team and aligning IT strategies with business objectives, further cementing my passion for technology and innovation.
